Answers

Fourteen things people ask us.

What am I paying $99 for?

A technician at the machine with a meter, the failed part named in plain words, and the repair written down as one number. Go ahead and the $99 is inside that number. Stop there and the $99 is all you pay, and you leave with a real diagnosis instead of a guess.

Is there a travel charge for Burnsville, Plymouth or Shakopee?

No. Every address inside the 30-minute ring gets the same invoice, with no line for mileage, Saturday or a gate code.

How soon can you come?

A warm refrigerator jumps the queue and usually gets a slot the same day if you call before noon. Everything else lands inside the week, often the next morning. Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Minnetonka and Edina are our shortest drives.

Can you tell me the price if I describe the symptom?

We can tell you whether it sounds like a small part or a big one. The number itself waits for the meter — every repair here is priced after the diagnostic and written down, never quoted by phone.

The garage fridge stopped the week it hit ten below. Is it ruined?

Often not. Below about 40°F in the garage a standard refrigerator believes it is already cold and stops running, and the freezer slowly thaws. The diagnostic tells you whether it was the temperature, a part, or both.

Why do our glasses come out cloudy?

Because nearly every suburb here is on well water that runs hard and often carries iron. Scale coats the dishwasher element and spray arms; a softener that ran out of salt shows up there first. We meter the parts and tell you what scale did.

I rent. Who signs off on the repair?

The owner or manager, by text. You host the visit, the technician sends the photo and the number, they approve, the repair goes ahead. The invoice and the warranty go to them by email.

I work overnight at Optum. Can you come early or late?

Yes. Early-morning and end-of-day slots on weekdays plus Saturday hours, and a text before we arrive so nobody is woken twice.

Do you work for Samsung, LG or Whirlpool directly?

No, and we do not claim to. We repair every major brand with a meter, one written number and written coverage, and if the maker still covers your machine we tell you before you spend anything.

Which machines do you take?

Refrigerators and freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges and cooktops, and the ice makers built into refrigerators. Not microwaves, wine fridges, standalone ice machines, softeners or commercial equipment.

What if the part is not on the truck?

We order it and come back to finish. The second trip is ours and the number you approved does not change.

What does the warranty cover?

The repair we made, in writing on the invoice. If the same fault returns inside the window, the return visit costs you nothing.

Will you tell me when it is not worth fixing?

Yes, at the door. We sell no appliances, so there is no reason to push a replacement and no reason to sell a repair on a machine that is finished. You pay the $99 and keep the advice.

How do I pay?

Card, cash or check after the test cycle. Nothing up front, nothing for the phone call. Owners who are not present pay from the emailed invoice.

Broken today? Usually fixed this week — often today.

One call starts it: $99 finds the fault, one written number, repair from the truck, written warranty.
