The trucks are loaded here each morning and the first stops are usually close: the townhomes ringing Eden Prairie Center, the houses along Anderson Lakes Pkwy, the cul-de-sacs of The Preserve and Hidden Ponds. From there the day fans out down Hwy 5 toward Bearpath and Lake Riley, north past Bryant Lake to the Hennepin Village side, or over by Staring Lake and Flying Cloud Airport. When something in your Eden Prairie kitchen quits, the part it needs is probably sitting on a shelf a few miles from your house.
Eden Prairie was built between the mid-1970s and the early 2000s, which means big attached garages, laundry rooms on the second floor or just off the garage, and kitchens that have been through one remodel. It also means well water, hard to very hard, and a softener in nearly every basement.
